201 clients receive mental support services in Palawan

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of Palawan, in collaboration with the Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA) Palawan Chapter, provided clinical and diagnostic services to 201 clients in the first half of the year.

The PSWDO said it is a part of its ongoing efforts to bolster mental health services in the province.

“We have an existing partnership with the Philippine Mental Health Association Inc.-Palawan through the PSWDO for education and advocacy,” explained PSWD Officer Abigail D. Ablaña.

“We desire to have a mentally healthy province by raising awareness and discussing challenges on mental health,” she added.

The social welfare office added that it continues to expand its information and education campaign services to address mental health issues comprehensively.

The aim of these initiatives is to enhance the support and awareness among Palaweños, contributing to the mental well-being of each individual.

For those seeking assistance with mental health concerns, contact can be made with the PSWDO at the G/F, RVM Building in the capitol complex or by calling 09987932468. Inquiries can also be sent to the PSWDO Palawan Facebook page.
